Position: Speech Language Pathologist
Employment Type: Full Time
Objective: To facilitate the planning, organization, development, and management of Speech Language Pathologist services in compliance with the latest federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation, Administrator, or Regional support team, ensuring the highest quality of resident care is consistently upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Speech Language Pathologist services to residents following established practice standards, company protocols, and departmental procedures.
- Comply with company guidelines regarding the documentation and billing of Speech Language Pathologist services.
- Exhibit sound judgment in evaluating, planning, implementing, and monitoring resident therapy programs.
- Conduct regular screenings of residents to assess the need for intervention or treatment.
- Perform timely evaluations of residents referred for physical therapy to ascertain the necessity for intervention or treatment.
- Assess residents to gather essential data for treatment planning and execution.
- Carry out specialized evaluations as required.
- Formulate treatment plans by setting short-term and long-term objectives and strategies to achieve those goals.
- Interpret and convey evaluation results, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, their families or responsible parties, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Complete compliant and medically necessary documentation in accordance with CMS expectations using NetHealth EMR systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Possession of an active Speech Language Pathologist license in New Jersey.
- Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
