Job Overview

We seek a mid-level data engineer to support a client in Herndon, VA. This role involves working with a broad range of IC and DoD clients, interacting with end users around the globe.

Responsibilities

This work requires data engineering to support an extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipeline. Key responsibilities include creating custom workflows to manage and conflate disparate datasets, analyzing and integrating disparate data with standard ontologies, and supporting a separate data science team in data evaluations.

This role requires the applicant to be successful working individually and with a small group.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly, 3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and relational databases, and at least 6 years of combined experience with data engineering tools, including Apache NiFi, Apache AirFlow, Apache Hive, and Power BI.

Desired qualifications include experience summarizing data in dashboard tools, reviewing data in GUI GIS tools, and creating cloud implementations of complex data workflows.
