About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Portable Digital X-Ray Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a vital member of our mobile imaging services, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, ensuring the highest quality patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to diverse locations, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other patient settings, to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and protocols while conducting diagnostic imaging exams.
  • Collect and verify required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
  • Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient's bedside or designated exam settings.
  • Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required.
  • Practice safe work habits, including radiation safety, ALARA principles, infection control, use of personal protective equipment, and safe operation of x-ray generators and associated equipment.
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
Requirements:
  • Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including ARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist (R) or state x-ray license (if applicable).
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Maintain physical stamina to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds and walk up/down stairs easily.
  • Able to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
