Job SummaryThe Nursing Assistant Trainee is an entry-level position that provides training and development opportunities for individuals who are interested in a career in healthcare. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will work closely with a preceptor to develop the skills and confidence needed to provide holistic client-centered care.
Responsibilities- Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with basic health care needs, such as obtaining vital signs and providing psychosocial support
- Deliver age-appropriate care to meet the physical, psychological, and restorative needs of clients
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation and housekeeping
- Document client care and communicate changes in client condition to a licensed nurse
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
