We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our team at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in an acute care interventional telemetry medical surgical unit.
Certification Requirements:- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory for specific roles.
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, and EFM may be required based on specialty.
- Verification of State License is essential.
- Completion of a Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam within the first year of employment.
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam as per unit standards.
- Provide nursing care in a 32-bed unit with moderate to high acuity patients.
- Work night shifts, typically 3x12 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday commitment.
- Manage a patient population with neurological conditions including epilepsy, stroke, and multiple sclerosis.
- Assist LPNs with assessments and medication administration as part of a blended care model.
- Administer medications including heparin, argatroban, and insulin drips.
- Complete bedside report at the beginning of each shift.
- May be required to take on Charge RN responsibilities.
- Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry.
- Preferred experience in neuro assessments.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is preferred.
- Consideration for up to two weeks of requested time off.
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week.
- Every other weekend and holiday.
- Frequent neuro checks due to patient acuity.
- First to float policy applies.
- Charge RN role may be required.
- Potential for color blindness testing.
- Drivers license/state ID may be required.
