Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team. As a Paralegal, you will provide support to our family law attorneys and clients, performing a variety of functions, including drafting and reviewing pleadings, scheduling hearings and conferences, and preparing court filings. You will also communicate with clients, answer questions, and provide support as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, read, and interpret sworn financial statements
  • Review client financial documents for legal proceedings
  • Draft, proofread, and review pleadings
  • Schedule hearings, conferences, and mediations with attorney guidance
  • Prepare and submit court filings accurately and timely
  • Communicate with clients, answer questions, and provide support as needed
  • Ensure accuracy in billing, time entry, calendaring, and file management
  • Prepare discovery and trial exhibits
  • Maintain current knowledge of Colorado courts and local jurisdictions
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent job experience
  • 2+ years' experience as a Family Law paralegal
  • Ability to obtain Notary Commission Certificate
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed skills in editing, proofreading, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and composition
  • Ability to anticipate problems, find solutions, and prioritize work accordingly
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment
