Job Overview

Position: Senior .Net Software Engineer

Summary:
This role involves the architecture, development, and ongoing support of both innovative and established software solutions. The primary focus will be on the execution of user stories created in collaboration with the Product Owner and Business Analyst, adhering to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The work will predominantly utilize the Microsoft technology stack, encompassing .Net web development, MS SQL Server Database development, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and Cloud-native development (.Net Core). This position is part of an Agile team and will engage in Agile ceremonies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops program logic for new applications or evaluates and modifies logic in existing systems.
  • Designs and normalizes data sets, including processes for data extraction and loading.
  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements, and maintains software applications.
  • Analyzes and translates business requirements, maintaining, testing, and integrating application components.
  • Independently troubleshoots issues by investigating underlying problems.
  • Collaborates with team members to resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provides technical support for mission-critical applications.
  • Documents software and related systems comprehensively.
  • Conducts data analysis.
  • Creates ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, an individual must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (4-year college) and 2-4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the Financial Services sector, particularly with Brokerage, Trust, or Financial Planning systems, is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in C# .NET development, with experience in the latest .NET frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, including complex stored procedures, ETL processes, SSRS, and reporting.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Azure Data Lake.
  • Knowledge of Release Management tools like Atlassian Jira/Bamboo and Jenkins.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Required experience with the following technologies:
    • Visual Studio
    • .Net/.Net Core
    • C#, Visual Basic.Net, ADO.Net, ASP.Net
    • LINQ, Entity Framework
    • IIS, Git, Atlassian Jira/Bamboo, and Jenkins
