Role Summary:
We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic High School Biology Teacher and Digital Proctor to become a vital part of our vibrant team. The selected candidate will motivate students to delve into and comprehend scientific principles, cultivating a passion for science and enhancing critical thinking abilities. A significant emphasis will be placed on elevating student performance on the STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute an engaging biology curriculum tailored for high school learners
- Promote a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Evaluate and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and assistance
- Utilize technology and hands-on experiments to enrich the learning experience
- Collaborate with fellow educators to improve instructional strategies and curriculum design
- Encourage students' social and emotional growth
- Prepare students for the STAAR assessments and strive to enhance their scores through focused instruction and interventions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related discipline
- Teaching certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong skills in classroom management
- Exceptional communication and teamwork capabilities
- A genuine passion for teaching and motivating high school students
- Experience in integrating technology within the classroom is advantageous
- Demonstrated success in improving student test scores, particularly on standardized assessments like the STAAR
