Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Addiction Therapist to join our team at GAAMHA's Sunrise Ridge Program, a co-occurring enhanced recovery home for women. This position provides a unique opportunity to work with individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Coordinate and implement service elements for residents, including individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate residents' treatment plans, goals, and educational programs.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups using established curricula.
  • Provide information and referral services to community resources (e.g., mental health counseling).
  • Support residents in navigating probation, parole, DCF, and other systems.
  • Enforce reporting requirements for suspected child abuse and neglect cases.
  • Assist in admission and discharge processes.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and provide transportation as needed.
  • Network and represent the organization in the community.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential treatment settings.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CADC or LADC certification required.
  • Working knowledge of mutual aid support groups and multiple pathways of recovery.
  • Excellent communication and cultural competence skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and web-based software/programs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass CORI and Adam Walsh/CPS background checks.
Salary and Benefits

$63,000 - $83,000 per year, depending on experience.
