About the Role

This position provides clinical services to children ages 5 to 14 and their families at the Webster Education Center, a Federal setting 4 school in ISD 622.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy in the school, Canvas Health office, home, and in the community.
  • Offer clinical consultation and debriefing after crisis situations for staff and students.
  • Emphasize a high level of skill and knowledge about families, individuals, and family assessment, family skills, and education services in the school.
  • Consult/team with school psychologists, school social workers, teachers, and multiple mental health providers.
  • Provide case consultation, training on mental health issues, and assistance to school personnel for clients at the Webster Education Center.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Clinical Counseling.
  • Possess or currently pursuing an LICSW, LMFT, LP, or LPCC licensure.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in working with severe emotional disorders in children and adults, family systems theory, individual and family development, and community resources and school systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Considerable ability to plan and implement treatment strategies for children with SED.
  • Experience with students and families of color, understanding of the impact of race and poverty upon students and families.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records.
