Job Summary:

As a key member of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corp. team, the Human Resources Generalist will play a vital role in ensuring the Corporation's compliance with employment laws and regulations. This position will work closely with employees at all levels to resolve HR issues, provide mediation and conflict resolution services, and develop and implement HR programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Stay up-to-date with federal and state employment laws, ensuring the Corporation's compliance and mitigating potential risks.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and assistance to all departments and employees on YKHC policies, employee relations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Create, update, and obtain approval for all Employee Relations policies and procedures.
  • Investigations and Conflict Resolution: Conduct formal and informal investigations, and provide mediation and conflict resolution services to resolve HR issues.
  • HR Program Development: Develop and implement HR programs and policies to support the Corporation's goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Law, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Three to five years of experience in a management or senior administrative role, with a focus on employee/labor relations.
  • Skills: Strong organization and interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to influence others.
