Literary Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Literary Editor to join our team at Georgia Highlands College. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty advisors to solicit and evaluate submissions, oversee the layout and editing process, and contribute to the success of our literary magazine.

• Solicit, read, and evaluate submissions from students and faculty members
• Notify contributors of the status of their submissions and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing layouts and edit multiple drafts
• Organize and coordinate annual release parties and events
• Distribute magazines to all locations on campus

• Excellent reading, writing, and editing skills
• Good computer skills and proficiency in design software
• Availability to work at least 2 afternoons per week in January and February, and 3 afternoons per week in March and April
• Minimum 2.5 GPA and current enrollment at Georgia Highlands College
