Key Responsibilities
As the Chief Medical Officer, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and coordination of all clinical services within the department and facility.

Your oversight will encompass the management of various clinical operations, including outpatient services, rehabilitation, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, social services, mental health, dental, and optometry.

You will handle a diverse caseload, including complex cases, while providing direct patient care.

In this role, you will have full accountability for the clinical practices of both medical and support staff within the program.
You will assign tasks to team members in a fair and efficient manner to ensure high-quality patient care.
Your responsibilities will also include managing the clinical services program, which encompasses budgetary oversight, personnel management, and project execution.

Employment Conditions
The selected candidate may be subject to a probationary period.
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
Selective Service Registration is required for males born after a specific date.
This position involves direct contact with vulnerable populations, necessitating a thorough background check.

All candidates must have a clean record concerning specific criminal offenses.

A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection.
Confidential Financial Disclosure Form is mandatory.

Immunizations for Measles, Rubella, and seasonal influenza are required for all staff.

COVID-19 vaccination is a prerequisite for all candidates prior to commencing duties.
The selected individual must obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any necessary licensure.

Failure to maintain these privileges may result in disciplinary actions, including termination.

On-call hours or standby duty may be necessary.
Successful completion of the E-Verify employment verification check is required.

Background Investigation
Selected candidates must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation. All documentation must be cleared prior to hire.

Your continued employment will depend on the outcome of this investigation.

A credit check may also be part of the background investigation process.


Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education relevant to the duties of the role.

Experience includes both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles.

All qualifying experience will be credited, including part-time work.

It is essential to clearly outline your responsibilities and the total hours worked per week.


BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Degree: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited institution.

This degree must be recognized by relevant accrediting bodies.


Licensure:
Applicants must hold a current, unrestricted license as a Physician from a recognized authority.

Graduate Training:
At least one year of supervised clinical experience is required following the attainment of your medical degree.

Graduate training programs must be accredited by recognized bodies.


Minimum Qualifications:
For advanced positions, a minimum of five years of graduate training in the relevant specialty or equivalent experience is necessary.

Your resume must illustrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, including supervisory responsibilities.

Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is required.
