Weekend Maintenance Technician - Full Time

The primary objective of this role is to execute facility maintenance policies and procedures in a manner that is both efficient and cost-effective, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform building-wide maintenance tasks, including responding to daily work orders and resident requests, requiring effective communication and timely response skills.
  • Prioritize tasks as they arise, demonstrating a commitment to outstanding resident care and a friendly attitude.
Requirements:
  • Minimum three years of maintenance work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance activities such as electrical, plumbing, or painting.
  • Previous experience in a role involving public interaction, such as food service or retail work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and skills in all maintenance activities, including electrical, plumbing, and painting.
  • Preference given to experience in property or healthcare facility maintenance.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids:
  • Air conditioners, compressors, gages, generators, heaters, mechanical tools, motors, nursing equipment, plumbing tools, telephones, and miscellaneous maintenance and cleaning equipment and supplies.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Essential job functions require ample strength and agility to climb ladders, stoop, bend, and lift materials to complete work assignments successfully. A maintenance technician must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Talking and listening are essential for interacting with other personnel and residents.
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors.
  • The maintenance technician must be independent to commute between properties and available when needed.
Shifts, Hours, and Schedules:
  • Fridays: 9:00am - 7:30pm.
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 6:00am - 7:30pm.
  • Seeking one person for this position.
  • Expected hiring date is as soon as possible.

Compensation:

The starting pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour and may increase with years of experience and skill level and annual pay raises in January of each year thereafter.
