ROLE PURPOSE

The Cashier plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience at Timber Pizza. This involves warmly greeting guests, explaining the restaurant's operations to first-timers, welcoming back repeat guests, and taking orders and payment with accuracy and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Arrive on time and in proper work attire, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Complete the Opening Checklist to ensure the front of house is properly stocked, organized, and clean for service.
  • Greet guests in a timely and friendly manner, providing menus and setting the tone for a great dining experience.
  • Identify new guests and explain the seating and ordering process in a clear and helpful manner.
  • Build rapport with repeat guests by calling them by name, remembering their usual orders, and providing personalized service.
  • Answer guest questions in a caring and helpful manner, making recommendations when appropriate to enhance their experience.
  • Take guests' orders with accuracy and enter them into the system, ensuring seamless service.
  • Process both cash and credit card payments efficiently and effectively.
  • Thank guests for their visit, ensuring a positive conclusion to their dining experience.
  • Answer phone calls and take to-go orders, providing excellent service to guests on the go.
  • Keep the counter organized and menus stocked throughout the shift, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members throughout the shift to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Assist team members as needed, providing support to ensure excellent service.
  • Follow Timber protocol for handling service breakdowns and guest complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ring alcohol responsibly, adhering to legal requirements and Timber standards.
  • Adhere to Timber food safety and sanitation standards throughout the shift, maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Complete the Closing Checklist to ensure the front of house is properly shut down at the end of service.
  • Complete side work duties as assigned, including deep cleaning tasks and other responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Pass a 10-year federal background check in the airport.
  • Enjoy hospitality and serving others, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • High energy and stamina, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within a small working space.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and use technology to enter guest orders and process payment.
  • Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure, maintaining a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, with the ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.
  • Able to perform essential functions to company standards with reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work location.
