Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Outpatient Clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and medical orders. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our patients, particularly in areas such as vaccination administration and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing, collect and document patient information, and notify patients of normal results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Manage patient vaccine data, including updating electronic health records and maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on vaccination procedures and health promotion.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with infection control policies and protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including training new staff members and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
  • Hawaii State Board of Nursing-approved LPN licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient settings.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records and vaccination management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
