Job Summary :

Genesis Global Group is seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Superintendent to oversee the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate subcontractors.

The Construction Site Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring a safe work site, maintaining a clean and organized project site, and enforcing company policies and procedures. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and self-motivation are essential for this role.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the scope of work, be able to plan and supervise all other employees and laborer activities, and coordinate with contractors. They will also be responsible for scheduling inspections, maintaining as-built drawings, and ensuring installations are consistent with contract documents.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Safely manage the project on-site to produce quality workmanship, on time, within budget and schedule
  • Ensure a safe work site and clean, organized project site
  • Enforce company policies and procedures and standards on the project
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving ability
  • Communicate effectively
  • Be self-motivated
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with TWP inspectors, subcontractors, and owner rep
  • Schedule all inspections
  • Understand and maintain most current contract documents and scopes that are used to build the project
  • Maintain an as-built set of drawings on site
  • Ensure installations are consistent with contract documents
  • Have knowledge and understanding of the scope of work to construct the project
  • Plan and supervise all other employees/laborer activities
  • Coordinate and plan activities of all contractors
  • Collaborate effectively with the Sr. Project manager on schedules, cost control, and materials and other resources
  • Assume responsibility for all project safety and safety meetings, will be responsible for completing incident reports and job safety assessments
  • Schedule and stage deliveries of materials and products purchased
  • Review invoices for completeness of work approved

Requirements :

  • 3+ years of Job Superintendent experience in commercial construction with management and oversight experience over multiple trade disciplines
  • 3+ years' experience in commercial construction or construction management with ground up and fit out projects
  • The ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a high attention to detail
