Certified Nursing Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Surgery Partners. The successful candidate will work in an ambulatory surgical center setting, providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Observe and report patient status and needs.
  2. Answer call lights and attend to/reports patient needs.
  3. Transfer, move and reposition patients, as needed.
  4. Monitor and record patient's vital signs like heart rate, pulse temperature and blood pressure, as needed.
  5. Assist physicians and nurses during examination and treatment of the patient.
  6. Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
  7. Cleaning patient areas, including mopping, wiping and disinfecting.
  8. Maintain current knowledge and certification requirements.
  9. Attend all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job-related hazards.
  10. Respect and regard the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, converse, and listen; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a regular basis and be able to push/pull over 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • The employee must be able to stand and/or walk up to 10 hours per day.
