Essential Functions:
- Receives patients, explains method of procedure and ensures patient comfort
- Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities
- Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices
- Maintains equipment and supplies, and organizes work area
- Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth
- Assists radiologist with interventional procedures as ordered
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Associate's Degree Required, Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasonography Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Required Skills: Certifications in Sonography, Vascular Sonography, or Radiologic Technology, Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire, Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
