Welder Fabrication Specialist Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints to determine necessary repairs to be made.
  • Use necessary equipment to affect repairs, including cutting torches and air arcs.
  • Cut material from stock and examine work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Use grinders to clean welds and position parts utilizing hand tools.
  • Weld parts utilizing a variety of welding processes per drawing or print.
  • Inspect work to ensure specifications and dimensions are correct.
  • Assemble final products and assist with the compatibility process.
  • Obey all safety rules and perform housekeeping assignments.
  • Record labor and verify quality with proper documents.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associate in Welding and Fabrication Technology or comparable work experience.
