Job Summary

FlexStaff is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior NICU Nurse Travel Professional. This role will provide expert care to newborns and their families in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role
  • As a Senior NICU Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
  • You will assess patients' physiologic health status, develop individualized plans of care, and evaluate outcomes to ensure the best possible results.
  • Your leadership skills and clinical judgment will be essential in coordinating patient care and directing activities of the patient care unit team.
Responsibilities
  1. Patient Assessment
    Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physiologic health status, including gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological systems.
    Document patient data accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
  2. Plan of Care
    Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs, priorities, and goals.
    Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment regimens.
  3. Care Coordination
    Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
    Delegate tasks and responsibilities to nursing staff while maintaining accountability for patient care.
  4. Medication Administration
    Administer medications safely and correctly, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
    Monitor patient responses to medication therapy and adjust as needed.
  5. Education and Documentation
    Provide education to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
    Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • BCLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, FlexStaff offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
