Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team at Libra Staffing, Inc. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Position Summary

The Senior Accounting Specialist will collaborate closely with the Controller, undertaking a variety of accounting responsibilities. Key duties include managing outgoing payments, maintaining the general ledger, overseeing asset management, and recording inventory. This position is primarily responsible for the complete accounts payable cycle and inventory forecasting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process outgoing payments on a daily basis, ensuring timely coding and payment of accounts payable.
  2. Record journal entries related to inventory valuation and associated costs.
  3. Generate reports and maintain records pertaining to inventory counts.
  4. Compile and manage a list of assets, documenting their book value and depreciation schedules.
  5. Conduct timely account reconciliations.
  6. Manage bookkeeping for credit card expenditures.
  7. Assist the Accounting and Finance teams with month-end closing processes and reconciliation journal entries.
  8. Support accounts receivable and payable through process enhancements and automation initiatives.
  9. Maintain an organized filing system for all accounting records.
  10. Provide assistance to the Controller with various financial tasks as needed.
  11. Uphold the confidentiality of both organizational and client information.
  12. Adhere to the accounting policies and procedures established by Libra Staffing, Inc.
  13. Contribute to the development and implementation of new systems and procedures as required.

Inventory Management

  1. Coordinate the flow of incoming products to ensure operational efficiency.
  2. Assist with the receipt of goods and the accurate entry of data into the system.
  3. Ensure pricing accuracy for all goods issued against receipts.
  4. Verify the accuracy of received purchase orders against invoices, including product details and costs.
  5. Document and report any shipment damages.
  6. Support management with special projects or research as assigned.

Qualifications

Bilingual in Chinese is Required

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting is mandatory.
  2. Strong understanding of US GAAP, foreign currency translation, and consolidations.
  3. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with clients regarding billing and payments.
  4. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to unexpected changes.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite is essential.
  7. Experience with general ledger and vendor management.
  8. Advanced skills in SAP are required.

Work Environment

  1. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 35 lbs.
  2. Combination of field and office settings.
  3. May involve working in busy and noisy environments.
  4. Exposure to various elements such as cold, heat, dust, and noise.
  5. This position does not offer remote work options.
  6. Daily travel may be required.
