Mammography Technologist

Adventist HealthCare is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures, operating equipment, and providing care to patients. Key Responsibilities:- Perform mammography procedures on scheduled shifts, operating equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
- Provide care to patients, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with a focus on delivering compassionate and respectful care.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health issues, including recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.
- Maintain open and positive communication with staff, physicians, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Instruct, supervise, and evaluate student technologists to ensure they meet the highest standards of patient care.
- Promote professionalism within the department, hospital, and community, acting as a role model for others.
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol, maintaining the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, and orderly manner.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be registered as a Mammography Technologist by the A.R.R.T./NMTCB.
- Licensed by the State of Maryland.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- At least two years of experience in mammography required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
- Ability to input data into the computer and analyze data as requested.
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.
