Job Title: Correctional Officer

Job Summary:

CoreCivic is seeking a Correctional Officer to provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care in a secure setting and be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide security and supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, at meals, during recreation, and on work assignments.
  • Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
  • Employ weapons or force to maintain discipline and order, as necessary.
  • Work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be available to work any hours, including overtime.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to complete any required training.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population, including inmates/residents with varying needs and behaviors.
