Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity to lead the development of risk models and pricing strategies for CME Group's derivatives marketplace. As a Quantitative Risk Management Leader, you will be responsible for designing and implementing risk models that evaluate counterparty exposures and ensure the adequacy of margin coverage. You will work closely with the Quants team to develop and deploy risk models, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure model transparency and what-if analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk models that evaluate counterparty exposures and ensure the adequacy of margin coverage
• Design and deploy risk models that meet the risk appetite of CME Group's derivatives marketplace
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure model transparency and what-if analytics
• Work closely with the Quants team to develop and deploy risk models
• Ensure that risk models meet the regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Financial/Applied/Pure Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline
• 6+ years of experience in pricing complex derivatives and performing advanced statistical analysis on underlying risk factors
• Strong expertise in bond mathematics, fixed income pricing, and risk modeling
• Experience in developing risk models, including historical VaR, Monte Carlo VaR, multi-factor risk models, and stressed VaR
• Experience in providing theoretical justifications of risk models and developing risk model transparency and what-if analytics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing risk models used by clearing houses and market risk teams
• Experience with modern OO libraries and implementing pricing or risk frameworks
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, VBA, and SQL
