About the Role:

Professional Sports Publications is seeking a highly skilled Editorial Content Specialist to join our editorial team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, style, and consistency of our publications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Copy editing long-form articles in Adobe InDesign for accuracy, style, and consistency
  • Providing feedback to writers on style and structure
  • Self-managing workload to review sections of different magazines simultaneously as pages become ready
  • Communicating with lead editors to ensure articles are proofed in a timely manner
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including other editors and page designers, to make necessary changes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Publishing, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of AP Style and the editorial process
  • Prior experience working individually with writers to improve writing flow, syntax, and grammar
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing deadlines and ability to multitask
  • Comfortable working with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with workload management programs
