Support Vulnerable Youth as a Foster Care Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Foster Care Support Worker, focusing on supporting youth aged 7-18 with behavior problems within the foster care system.

About Our Organization

Lilac Ridge LLC is a reputable organization committed to providing structured guidance, therapeutic intervention, and emotional support to empower vulnerable youth to thrive despite their challenging circumstances.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, reflecting the importance of this role in making a positive impact on the lives of youth in foster care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with case managers, social workers, and other professionals to develop and implement behavior management plans tailored to each youth's needs.
  • Transport clients to individual and group counseling sessions to help youth develop coping skills, improve self-esteem, and address trauma-related issues.
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and recreational programs that promote social skills development and positive peer interactions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with foster families, biological families, and caregivers to ensure consistent support and guidance for youth.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of progress notes, incident reports, and treatment plans in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience working with youth in foster care, particularly those with behavioral challenges or trauma histories;
  • Strong understanding of child development, behavioral disorders, and therapeutic interventions;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
