About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital. As a key member of our occupational health team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Direct patient care provided by support personnel for a specific shift.
- Identify changes in patient's physiological condition.
- Communicate patient status to multidisciplinary team members.
- Communicate directly with patient and family about nursing care.
- Provide clinical interventions to meet patient needs.
- Document the nursing process.
- Assimilate information from multiple sources and implement appropriate action plan to provide safe, quality care.
- Assure safety and security of patients, significant others and staff.
Clinical
- Demonstrate clinical competence.
- Provide direct patient care.
- Direct patient care provided by support personnel for a special shift.
- Perform ongoing assessment of assigned patients and their significant others biopsychosocial and learning needs.
- Contribute to plan of care in coordination with patient care coordinator as appropriate.
- Implement appropriate actions to respond to needs of patients and patients significant others.
- Monitor and document the patient's response to therapeutic interventions and progress toward outcomes.
- Demonstrate cost-effective approach to patient care in terms of equipment, supplies and all other resources.
- In all areas of practice follows established policies, procedures and standards of care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.

Research
- Follow research protocols for assigned patients.
Qualifications
- Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse or eligible in the State of Illinois.
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Certification of BLS CPR.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Occupational health, employee health or Emergency Room experience preferred.
