The role is designed for a Facilities Mechanical Technician to oversee various mechanical systems within industrial settings, focusing on essential equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, and control systems.

Position Overview:

This position entails the responsibilities of a Facilities Technician. The individual will be tasked with executing repairs and conducting preventative maintenance on a diverse range of building and facility equipment, fixtures, and systems. This includes the installation, troubleshooting, and upkeep of plumbing, mechanical, heating, and cooling systems. Regular preventative maintenance inspections will be conducted, along with the execution of necessary maintenance tasks. The assignments are generally routine, requiring some judgment in addressing non-standard issues. General instructions and job plans will guide the work performed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and implement minor upgrades on mechanical systems.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance, while addressing any operational and maintenance challenges that arise.

Essential Qualifications:

Proficient understanding of mechanical systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and compressors. Experience in general industrial mechanical tasks, including instrument calibrations, is essential. The ability to effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexity is required.

Required Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems such as chillers, boilers, air handlers, and compressors.
  • Experience in performing general industrial mechanical work, including instrument calibrations.
