About the Role:

Tumwater Family Dentistry is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their dental journey.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays, as well as other diagnostic assessments, using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification, if required by the state dental practice act.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
