Position Overview:

As a key member of our production team, you will enjoy a range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with 401(k) contributions and company matching. At Pilgrim's, we prioritize safety as a fundamental condition, ensuring that the well-being of our team members is always the top priority. Your role will involve processing products using various tools, including knives, as well as engaging in manual labor and operating equipment in line with USDA and Pilgrim's product standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process products according to established operating procedures and quality expectations.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and report any malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist colleagues by sharing the skills and knowledge acquired in this position.
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding personnel, quality, safety, and food safety.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with customers, clients, co-workers, and leadership.
  • Identify and respond to incidents and safety risks, consistently practicing and promoting safe work habits throughout the organization.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives and problem-solving using continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Follow all company guidelines related to animal welfare.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.

Basic Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to understand simple instructions.
  • Capability to apply common sense in various situations.
  • Ability to manage problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized scenarios.
  • Willingness to work in cool environments (approximately 40 degrees).
  • Capacity to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours daily.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a readiness to work closely with colleagues.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination is essential.
  • Food or production experience is preferred.
