About Us: Clear Legal Recruitment Limited is a leading provider of legal recruitment solutions, and we are currently seeking an experienced Criminal Duty Solicitor to join our team in Basingstoke.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The salary range reflects the level of expertise and qualifications required for this role.

We are looking for a skilled Criminal Duty Solicitor with a strong background in criminal law to join our team. As a Duty Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and assistance to clients in police stations and courts.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1+ years' PQE in criminal law and be accredited as a Police Station Solicitor. You will be expected to manage a caseload of client matters, undertake advocacy at court, and deal with existing and new client enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice and assistance to clients in police stations and courts;">
• Manage a caseload of client matters in accordance with quality procedures manual, SRA code, LAA contract, and SQM requirements;">
• Undertake advocacy at court;">
• Deal with existing and new client enquiries;">
• Undertake legal research and maintain legal knowledge through training in accordance with professional training requirements;">
• Casework and file management responsibilities as defined in the Quality Manual;">
• Financial management and compliance with SRA Accounts Rules via Finance Manual;">
• Assist with networking, marketing, and departmental development;">
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment;">
• Contribute to maintaining and improving office procedures;">
• Ensure compliance with the firm's Equality and Diversity Policy;">
• Obtain and maintain compliant Duty Solicitor status;">
• Attend out-of-hours police station call-outs and Saturday/Bank Holiday Courts as required.">
