Job Summary:

The University of California, Irvine seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties and tasks under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments, write pre-op orders, and administer anesthesia to patients.
  • Monitor patients intra-operatively and provide safe anesthesia care.
  • Assist in post-operative care and transport patients to the recovery room.
  • Recognize and respond to post-operative complications and initiate emergency treatment as needed.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
  • Valid California Nurse Anesthetist license.
  • Valid California Registered Nurse license.
  • Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Working Conditions:

This is a per-diem position, and the successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
