Position Overview:
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Shift: Weekend RN Supervisor will operate on 12-hour shifts during Saturday and Sunday, with additional hours on Friday to complete this full-time role.
Role Summary:
The RN Supervisor is accountable for orchestrating the care and services provided to patients. This role emphasizes the delivery of high-quality care through a collaborative approach that coordinates, monitors, and assesses services based on patient needs. The RN Supervisor collaborates closely with patients and their families, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards set forth by Life Care.
Qualifications, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Must possess a current and valid nursing license in the applicable state, maintaining good standing throughout employment.
- A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience is required, with a preference for experience in geriatric nursing.
Specific Job Expectations:
- In-depth knowledge in the nursing field.
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Familiarity with practices, procedures, and regulations governing operations in a post-acute care setting.
- Implement and interpret departmental programs, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Exhibit proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, and others.
- Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.
- Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
- Demonstrate integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing all required compliance training.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver, manage, and coordinate patient care and services through effective interpersonal communication, enabling patients to achieve or maintain optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
- Assist patients daily in evaluating the quality of care provided.
- Supervise licensed staff and CNAs in prioritizing patient care needs and reporting requirements.
- Assess patient needs and formulate care plans accordingly.
- Exhibit outstanding customer service and maintain a positive demeanor towards patients.
- Aid in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary.
- Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance.
- Apply reasoning skills and sound judgment in all situations.
- Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently throughout working hours.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
