Job Title: Full-time Physiatrist

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-time Physiatrist to join our team in Newport News, Virginia.

About the Role:

As a Full-time Physiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services to our clients in their homes. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, conduct diagnostic tests and measurements, and educate clients and their families on rehabilitative care and activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic tests and measurements, such as mobility and range of motion assessments, transfer status, stability, and safety evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, including manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and other interventions.
  • Continuously assess and revise the care plan, and participate in multidisciplinary care planning as needed.
  • Educate and instruct clients, family members, or other representatives on rehabilitative care and activities necessary for independent living.
  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations related to client care management and services provided.
Qualifications:
  • A current VA Physical Therapist license.
  • Graduation from a program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
  • Solid computer skills and prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
