Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Evaluate Residents: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of residents to identify their communication and swallowing needs.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create personalized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each resident, with the goal of improving their communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Provide Therapy Services: Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to residents, including individual and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
  • Document Resident Progress: Accurately and thoroughly document resident progress, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program and active licensure in New Jersey.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a long-term care setting.
