We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our anesthesia care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and anesthesia services to our patients.
Responsibilities- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and prepare anesthesia plans for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Deliver all forms of anesthesia, including inhalation, regional, intravenous, local, and topical anesthetics.
- Monitor patients' physical status and responses to anesthesia, and take appropriate action to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and anesthesia services.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of anesthesia patient care audit processes.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Certification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
This position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. You may be exposed to infected patients and contaminated materials, and may be required to don protective clothing in isolation situations or operative/invasive procedures.
