Saw Shop Filer Opportunity at Baillie Lumber

Baillie Lumber, a leading hardwood supplier, is seeking a skilled Saw Shop Filer to join our team at our Everett, PA facility. As a Saw Shop Filer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our sawmill operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sharpening and maintaining band saws to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintaining saw shop equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
  • Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Working independently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Providing high-quality work while maintaining a high level of precision

Requirements:

  • Previous saw shop experience is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Proficiency in benching single and double cut saw blades
  • Proficiency in TIG welding for teeth and welding cracks
  • Experience in maintaining filing room equipment
  • Band mill alignment and maintenance experience is a plus
  • Self-motivation and organization are essential for success in this role

Benefits:

  • $22 - $30/hour DOE
  • First Shift (6 am to 4:30 pm)
  • Full Time Hours
