Position Overview
La Scuola International School is in search of dedicated and experienced Elementary School Instructors for the forthcoming academic year. We are particularly keen on candidates with a background in the IB Primary Years Program (IB PYP). Ideal applicants will demonstrate proficiency in delivering an inquiry-based curriculum, exhibit strong teamwork capabilities, and possess a proactive and adaptable approach to teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and implement daily educational programs in alignment with the school's philosophy.
- Design, plan, and execute curriculum goals and long-term projects within the IB-PYP framework.
- Establish and maintain personal connections with students and their families.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a Child Development Certificate, or a minimum of 5 years of experience working with children.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the K-8 level, preferably in a language immersion or IB-accredited environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in Italian and English, with near-native fluency in Italian.
- Experience in a Reggio Emilia inspired educational setting is highly desirable.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
- Strong understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach and IB-PYP curriculum framework.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
