Job SummaryWe are seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our team at our Milford office. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. No experience is required, but an interest in healthcare and teamwork is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance patient care and service.
- Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures.
- Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and procedures within established guidelines.
- Understand provider-to-patient flow and anticipate next steps to ensure seamless care.
- Prepare rooms before and after patients, including checking equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed.
- Scan retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies daily and alert the Head MA and/or GM of low levels.
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
- Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
- Computer savvy with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent patient relation and customer service skills.
- Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.
