Custodian Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Planet Fitness. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a positive experience for our members.
Key Responsibilities- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, including restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Inspect and clean windows, window frames, and other surfaces to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Detail clean all baseboards, wall trim, and other surfaces to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
- Dust and clean all air vents, TV's, and other equipment to ensure proper function.
- Remove trash and recyclables from all waste areas and ensure proper disposal.
- Vacuum and mop all floors, including rubber and tile surfaces, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Organize and maintain storage rooms, ensuring all products are properly arranged and easily accessible.
- Assist with inventory management and provide feedback on cleaning product usage.
- Train and educate part-time cleaners to ensure they meet job responsibilities and performance standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Custodial experience preferred.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality skills required.
- Honesty and humility are essential for this role.
- Great communication skills and ability to work with internal and external customers.
- Team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized individual.
- Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a variable schedule, including weekdays and weekends. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds. The employee must be able to work in a variety of environments, including lavatory areas, and be exposed to toxic chemicals, dust, and sweat.
