Job Title: Associate Director, Global HIV Medical Affairs

Job Summary:

Gilead Sciences is seeking an Associate Director, Global HIV Medical Affairs to lead the development and implementation of the annual HIV Global Medical Affairs digital plan. The successful candidate will work closely with the HIV Global Medical Affairs team to ensure regular communication and alignment with key priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the annual HIV Global Medical Affairs digital plan
  • Ensure regular communication with HIV Global Medical Affairs teams to remain abreast of the HIV landscape and key priorities
  • Work in close alignment and collaboration with HIV counterparts from Global Strategic Marketing, Global Public Affairs, and Global Legal to ensure a consistent strategy and aligned planning
  • Collaborate in the development and execution of HIV Global Medical Affairs Plans of Action in alignment with respective Indication Strategic Plans
  • Maintain regular communication with G9 MA teams in affiliates to ensure appropriate knowledge of local needs and digital educational tools
  • Attend major conferences and help coordinate global medical affairs activities and implementing the X-functional digital strategy
  • Organize and support the execution of Medical Educational initiatives
  • Provide support to affiliates with a cross-portfolio approach
  • Manage projects to completion, anticipating obstacles and difficulties that may arise, resolving them in a collaborative and compliant manner
  • Assist in the medical review and certification of branded and unbranded materials developed by HIV global teams

Requirements:

  • HIV-specific knowledge and experience in using technology and omnichannel approach to enhance HCPs and other stakeholders' medical education effectiveness
  • Ability to embrace Gilead's patient-centric values and leadership commitments, including the highest ethical and compliance standards
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on collaboration and excellence
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and prioritization
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative, cross-functional environment with internal and external teams
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively present and discuss scientific data
  • Ability to think strategically and align medical, public health, and commercial strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MD, PharmD, DO, or PhD degree with solid experience in HIV Infection
  • PharmD., D.O., or Ph.D. (biological or pharmaceutical sciences) and 2+ years clinical experience; MS with 8 years of relevant experience or BS with 10 years of relevant experience
  • Know-how in developing omnichannel approach to consistent and cohesive customer experience
  • Proven experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries preferred
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed structure
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

What We Offer:

Gilead Sciences offers a competitive salary range of $191,335.00 - $247,610.00, discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package, including company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
