Job Summary

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is seeking a qualified professional to join our team as an adjunct faculty member in the Teacher Education Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and experience teaching students with intellectual disabilities.

As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills with our students and contribute to the development of the next generation of educators.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Psychoeducational Assessment, Instruction of Mathematics for the Educationally Disabled, and other related subjects.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the program's goals and objectives.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of program policies and procedures.


Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
  • Teaching experience working in K-12 settings.
  • Experience teaching students with intellectual disabilities.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid theoretical and practical background in education.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to function autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present a positive and professional image of the Education Department and the University.
