Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Peace Officer to join our team as a School Resource Officer. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a visible presence on school premises to ensure student and staff safety
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies within the school environment
  • Engage with students, faculty, and parents to build trust and foster positive relationships
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence related to incidents within the school
  • Oversee traffic flow and manage crowd control during school events
  • Provide educational sessions on topics such as drug prevention, bullying, and online safety
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and school administration to resolve issues
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid California POST Basic Certificate
  • Experience working in law enforcement, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong foundation in law enforcement practices and principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
