Job Summary

The EyeCare Advisor is a key role in delivering exceptional patient experience at LensCrafters. This position requires strong customer service skills, knowledge of current fashion trends, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to greet customers promptly, answer phone calls in a friendly and courteous manner, and explain all required paperwork, tests, products, and services. Additionally, the EyeCare Advisor will be responsible for reviewing prescriptions and patient information carefully, identifying special needs, and consulting with Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures, handle and file patient records in an organized and efficient manner, and operate the POS system terminal with accuracy and attention to details.

Responsibilities

Greet customers without delay and answer phone calls in a friendly and courteous manner
Explain all required paperwork, tests, products, and services
Review prescriptions and patient information carefully and identify special needs
Consult with Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary
Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures
Handle and file patient records in an organized and efficient manner
Operate the POS system terminal with accuracy and attention to details
Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that are best suited for their vision, lifestyle, and budget
Provide coaching and guidance to patients on the care and handling of contact lenses

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent
Strong customer service skills (internal and external)
Knowledge of current fashion trends
Strong communicator and listener
Problem-solving ability
Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators
Organization skills
Sales skills
Strong basic math skills
Knowledge of office and store merchandise

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical
Strong interpersonal skills
