Family Medicine Specialist

At SWLA Center for Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical services to our patients, ensuring their health and well-being.
Responsibilities:- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to patient rights.
- Display punctuality and good attendance at work.
- Work collaboratively with patients to meet their expectations.
- Examine patients to determine the presence of disease and establish preventive health practices.
- Maintain clinical tracking data for continuity of care.
- Assist the Medical Director in planning, managing, and evaluating healthcare delivery at SWLA Center for Health Services.
- Provide continuous care by obtaining hospital privileges and emergency room coverage.
- Actively participate in local, state, and national medical associations/societies.
- Participate in quality assurance patient review committees.
- Record medical information using the POMR system.
- Collect data for clinical decision-making.
- Maintain current medical records.
- Develop and implement individual work plans.
- Conduct periodic formal assessments and reviews of subordinates' performance.
- Promote health by advising patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Participate in community education, staff in-service, and committee meetings.
- Exhibit judgment to prevent delays in service provision and avoid serious adverse impact on health status.
- Participate in SWLA Center for Health Services' infection control program.
- Assist in other departments/centers affiliated with SWLA Center for Health Services as needed.
- Serve as laboratory supervisor of the on-site clinic laboratory.
- Perform other related duties as assigned within the realm of clinical training/experience.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners in the same department.
- Demonstrate the Mission and act in ways that advance the best interest of our customers.
- Present a professional image, adhering to SWLA department dress code.
- Demonstrate effective communication and listen attentively to customers, promptly acting upon requests while considering patient privacy.
- Respect the gifts and talents of each other, demonstrating effective communication and assisting co-workers as necessary.
- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of our customers, physicians, co-workers, and the community.
- Practice safe work habits and maintain a safe environment for self, co-workers, patients, and visitors.
- Work collaboratively to solve problems, improve processes, and develop services, acting as an advocate for our customers.
- Comply with organization/department policies and procedures, including confidentiality, safety, cooperation/flexibility, and attendance.
- Understand and comply with applicable federal/state laws and Standards of Conduct related to assigned job duties.
- Participate in departmental or organizational quality continuous performance improvement activity.
