Job Title: Laundry Technician

At the Good Samaritan Society, we are seeking a skilled Laundry Technician to join our team. As a Laundry Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to organizational and healthcare industrial laundry standards.
  • Collect and distribute clean and disinfected linens, including gowns, sheets, towels, blankets, and personal clothing.
  • Operate laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, including storage and disposal of laundry supplies and equipment.
  • Follow infection prevention guidelines and use proper protective equipment (PPE) as outlined in our standard processes and policies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to use a computer and prior cleaning experience in a healthcare setting are helpful.
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, and methods used in cleaning is beneficial.
