Painting Specialist for Nemours Children's Health

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a skilled Painting Specialist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. As a Painting Specialist, you will be responsible for the rehabilitation and painting of our clinics and office spaces interiors and occasionally exteriors in Central Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine the necessary work and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work required.
- Make on-site preparations such as posting notices, building scaffolding, covering fixtures, and installing drop cloths.
- Conduct drywall repair as needed prior to painting, filling cracks and holes with appropriate material to match the existing wall finish.
- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, and removing old paint.
- Mix primers and paints to prepare the right color or texture.
- Paint surfaces according to the finish schedule in provided blueprints using appropriate tools.
- Apply varnish and other finishes according to the finish schedule in provided blueprints using appropriate tools.
- Clean the work area of dust, paint, solvents, and other debris.
- Remove any scaffolding, fixture covers, or drop cloths as appropriate.
- Remove notices once the area is safe to be occupied.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience required.
- DMV check required for driving company vehicles to clinic locations.
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Take and follow directions given.
- Manage multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.
