Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. This role will involve working as a Radiology Technologist Level I, performing various radiographic procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

About the Job

This is an ongoing position requiring 20 hours of work per week, with a flexible shift schedule that includes daytime hours. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Competently performing basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic examinations
  • Communicating effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns
  • Positioning patients and selecting exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, while providing patient radiation protection and safety
  • Identifying patient information and labeling images accordingly, comparing requisitions to physician's orders to ensure exam accuracy
  • Assisting and communicating with Radiologists, preparing and maintaining records in accordance with regulatory agencies, and documenting billing codes for accurate patient charges

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also need to perform patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively with physicians, patients, and other staff members.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 6 months of employment
  • Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology

We offer a competitive salary for this position, estimated at around $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
