Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated Roadway Engineer to join our growing transportation practice in California, with the possibility of alternate locations. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that shape the future of transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and construction support of transportation projects, including roadways, highways, and freeways.
  • Support the production of project plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates (PS&E).
  • Be involved in all project aspects, including design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction.
  • Work independently and efficiently produce quality deliverables while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agencies.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor entry-level staff and be responsible for entry-level staff job tasks.
  • Ability to provide QA/QC on road design projects.
  • Ability to assist in marketing efforts to pursue future work.
Qualifications
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-15 years of roadway, highway, and drainage design experience.
  • Professional Engineer License in California is a plus.
  • Experience using computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents, including InRoads and OpenRoads and MicroStation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be flexible, well-organized, accountable, and dependable.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
